STAY INFORMED ABOUT UTILITY-SCALE INDUSTRIAL BURDENS  IN OUR COUNTY

Get Involved Today!

Protecting Grimes County will take an informed and engaged community.

Whether you have a little time or a lot, your involvement matters.

You can help by sharing accurate information with neighbors, friends, local organizations, and fellow residents.

You can attend public meetings, bring others with you, and help show our county leaders that the people of Grimes County are paying attention.

You can sign and share the petition, send us tips, documents, screenshots, photos, or links related to proposed projects, and help us identify activity in different parts of the county.

If you have experience in areas such as water, power, land use, fire safety, agriculture, environmental issues, real estate, engineering, legal research, media, or community outreach, your knowledge could be especially valuable.

If you are part of a neighborhood group, church, civic club, business network, or community organization, we would also welcome opportunities to connect and share information.

You do not have to speak at a meeting to make a difference. Simply staying informed, sharing updates, helping others understand what is happening, and showing up when it matters are all important ways to support this effort.

Together, we can help ensure that the citizens of Grimes County stay informed, engaged, and prepared to stand up for responsible development, transparency, and protection of our rural way of life.

Preserve the Land. Protect Our Community.

Attend the Next Community Meeting!

Community meetings are one of the most important ways citizens can stay informed, ask questions, and stay engaged in what is happening across Grimes County.

Every meeting is different. Things are changing quickly, new information is constantly surfacing, and public records, project details, and county developments continue to evolve.

That is why attending regularly matters.

Each meeting includes updates on what we have learned, what may be coming, what actions are being taken, and what citizens can do to help.

Our goal is not only to share information, but to help people understand the bigger picture — how these large-scale industrial projects could affect our land, water, infrastructure, farms, wildlife, roads, property values, and rural way of life.

These meetings also give residents the opportunity to ask questions, share what they know, connect with others in their area, and become part of a more informed and united community response.

Moving forward, we hope to hold a community meeting every week whenever possible.

Because Grimes County covers a large rural area, we also want to bring meetings to different parts of the county so people do not always have to travel far to attend.

If your neighborhood, area, church, civic group, or local community would like us to come host a meeting there, please reach out.

Meetings can be small gatherings of just a few people or large events with hundreds in attendance. Both are valuable, and both help spread awareness.

While we will livestream or record meetings when we can, attending in person is always best whenever possible.

Rural internet service is not always reliable, and some meeting locations may not support a strong livestream or recording setup.

In-person attendance helps ensure that you hear the latest information directly and have the opportunity to participate.

These meetings are helping build an informed, connected, and engaged county.

The more citizens who stay involved, the stronger our voice will be as we work to

Preserve the Land & Protect our Community.

Meeting details will be shared as they become available.
